If you plan on renting movies online and streaming them then this is a great way to go.

Cable internet tends to have speeds around 3.0 to 20 Mbps. This is more then suffice to stream live video and handle most gamers. The main bottle neck people run into here is they have an outdated computer that does not handle the higher speeds because of lack of memory or processing power. You can plan on cable generally being around 3 times faster then DSL when it comes to downloading.
